Championship Apple Pie

 
Championship Apple Pie

1 pkg. Pillsbury pie crusts from dairy section (or Publix brand)
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Pinch of nutmeg
2 tbsp. flour
6 c. sliced apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt and flour in mixing bowl. Arrange apples in layers in 9 inch pastry lined pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over each layer. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Dot with butter. Put top crust over filling and press together edges around pie. Cut slits for escape of steam. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
 
I used a 3rd crust to cut the "Script A". This was our dessert for the National Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish! We're having alot of fun in Tuscaloosa right now, celebrating #15! Roll Tide!
