Community Chef - Sharon Pilsch

The most recent "Community Chef" in the Tuscaloosa News is Sharon Pilsch.  Sharon and I go way back years ago to days of working and volunteering in the NICU at DCH Regional Medical Center. I was a young Occupational Therapist working in the neonatal unit. Together with our nursing staff and our amazing social worker, we coordinated a volunteer program in which ladies came into the unit to hold and rock babies and write diaries for the parents. Sharon was one of the trained volunteers from the Junior League who spent countless hours in our intensive care nursery loving our babies. The service of Sharon and the other volunteers was very special! Today, Sharon is loving on babies of her own. With four precious grandchildren, it's no wonder she has many special occasions to celebrate! Her chicken a la russell sounds delicious!
